PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS: PC requirements & hardware guide

Published requirements and known gaps

The boxes show the requirements recorded in our source-linked catalogue. Missing fields remain unspecified; a broad hardware family or an API description is not an exact model recommendation.

Important context: Publisher minimum storage 40GB, recommended 50GB. Source is publisher Steam PC specifications. Build Finder editorial planning profile added 24 October 2026; no measured FPS is claimed.

Publisher profiles and planning scope

Recommended hardware: The linked requirements listing does not attach a numeric FPS / resolution / preset target to this hardware profile.
CPU: Core i5-6600K / Ryzen 5 1600 · GPU: GTX 1060 3GB / RX 580 4GB · RAM: 16 GB

Landing, town and combat workloads differ. The planning tiers do not reproduce a particular competitive settings list or certify high-refresh performance. These preset, resolution and 120 FPS tier steps are editorial allowances in a limited component pool, not measured benchmarks, performance equivalence or guaranteed FPS.

Compare a landing, a town and a fight

Keep the map, rendering settings and test route recorded. A quiet stretch does not establish how a machine handles the action you care about.

Frame rate and online response are separate

For a 1080p or 1440p goal, find tests at the same resolution and rendering settings. For high-refresh play, include slower frames and representative action. An average FPS value does not establish connection quality or input responsiveness on every server.

A repeatable comparison

  1. Record the exact game version, CPU, GPU, memory configuration and settings.
  2. Use the same save, scene or activity where practical; note anything that cannot be held constant.
  3. Change one setting or rendering resolution, then compare sustained performance and pauses separately.
  4. Check temperatures, memory pressure and background work before attributing a problem to one part.

Storage and setup

The catalogue space guide is 50 GB. Treat it as an installation-planning reference, not a total PC drive size or a measured current download. Small installations may be rounded up in the catalogue. Check the publisher notes and launcher for exact content, updates and additional space.

Check the game’s current operating-system and platform requirements directly. Historical game specifications may name Windows versions that are no longer supported by the distribution client. A specification for one edition, branch or platform does not certify another.

Before paying for a PC or upgrade

Separate local frame-time spikes from online corrections. Ask a used-PC seller for a gameplay test instead of a lobby-only FPS figure.

Ask for the full processor and graphics-card models, RAM stick configuration, available installation-drive space and power-supply model. Price any motherboard, memory, cooling or power changes needed for an upgrade. Similar product-family names and equal VRAM capacities do not establish equal performance.

Use our requirements and benchmark checklist to assess evidence, and our first gaming PC guide to budget for the complete setup. No hands-on benchmark results or guaranteed FPS figures are claimed.
